Nissan USA and Lucasfilm Team up for A Star Wars Story
Lucasfilm has announced that it is collaborating with five well-known brands to launch the global campaign for the next instalment of the Star Wars Saga.
Along with Nissan, there’s General Mills, Duracell, Gillette and Verizon. Each brand will work with Lucasfilm on a specific campaign and innovative program designed to complement the overall marketing campaign for the first standalone Star Wars movie.
“We are extremely pleased to be working with such a remarkable group of promotional partners for ‘Rogue One,'” said Lynwen Brennan, general manager of Lucasfilm. “This first in a series of Star Wars standalone films represents an exciting new era for both Star Wars and Lucasfilm, and the partners joining us on this exciting journey have each designed a stellar campaign capturing the spirit and camaraderie of ‘Rogue One.'”
American Nissan have a “Rogue” vehicle (pictured) – but we call it the X-Trail – making it a pretty perfect fit for the new Star Wars film.
We’re not sure whether us Brits will see any of the campaign, but we’re hoping that as a global campaign that we will!
